TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU / Critical Care RN in Nampa, Idaho, 83687!

$1,967 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Specialty : Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12H Nights

Hours per Shift : 7p-7a

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : Must have 1 year experience.

Okay with first-time travelers.

Must be a good team player.

Description : Department : ICU.

Unit : Intensive Care Unit.

Number of Beds : 10.

Nurse to Patient Ratios : 1 : 2.

Common diagnoses / Types of patients include Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, Sepsis, Ventilated patients, GI Bleeds, Strokes, TPA, post-codes, Pneumonia, and post-surgical cases if complications arise.

CRRT is not assigned to travelers.

RNs are required to titrate drips.

Common titratable and set rate drips include Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem.

There is a Charge Nurse on each shift who does not take patients.

Administrative support is available on-site 24 / 7, along with a crisis nurse.

Medical staff and respiratory therapists are present 24 / 7.

RNs are responsible for reading strips and utilizing Spacelabs equipment.

Shifts are scheduled by the unit scheduler and can be blocked or grouped together.

Weekend requirements are as needed, with an attempt to do every other weekend.

Holiday requirements are based on necessity.

There is no call or standby requirement.

Floating requirements may apply to other units with a preference to maintain a favorable nurse-to-patient ratio.

Scrub color / dress code allows any clean and professional color.

Unit / department-specific orientation consists of 1 to 2 shifts depending on experience.
