Westwood Professional Services Inc is seeking a Structural Lead Engineer responsible for overseeing the design analysis and implementation of structural engineering projects. This role involves leading a team of engineers and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure that projects are completed on time within budget and to the required quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the structural engineering team focused on solar energy projects providing guidance mentorship and support to engineers and designers.
• Accountable to project deliverable quality
• Provide guidance and review of proposal efforts and invoicing for the structural scope of solar energy projects.
• Implement engineering processes training and best practices tailored to the unique challenges of solar energy projects including innovative design solutions for PV racking system and ancillary structure foundations.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects contractors and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated solutions.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff.
• Manage project budgets schedules and resources effectively.
• Communicate project status and technical information to clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
