How you'll contribute

A Cath lab Technician who excels in this role :

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical / healthcare errors.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by patient's response to treatment, and evaluate overall plan daily effectiveness.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and / or family and provide patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional wellbeing of the patient protecting patient's rights.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, and permanent pacemaker implants.
• Familiar with cardiac stress testing, loop record implant, and venous ablation procedures.
• Follow standards set by CVMC, the AACN, CCI, and SICP.
