SOC Analyst - Associate Level

Northwest Partners is engaged in a strategic initiative with a well-established healthcare organization and seeks an experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to support weekend monitoring and response efforts. This is a part-time contract role (16 24 hours per week) with an 8-hour shift covering Friday 11pm to Sunday 11pm EST. The total contract duration is 12 months (2,080 hours).

What YOU will do

monitor and investigate security alerts from SIEM, NGFW, EDR, NGAV, and related tools

follow documented SOC procedures and playbooks during incident investigations

maintain accurate documentation and case notes in the incident management system

assist in proactive threat identification and remediation through SIEM and EDR hunting

provide on-call coverage in line with health system policies

What YOU will bring us

2-year academic degree and exposure to information security through education or hands-on experience

understanding of information technology tools, security practices, and related concepts

commitment to continuous learning via job experience, courses, or certifications

ability to participate in on-call rotations as assigned

familiarity with technologies such as SIEM, EDR, antivirus, IDS / IPS, and NGFW

awareness of attacker tactics and current threat landscape

CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications preferred
