The Personal Lines Senior Account Manager manages a portfolio of personal lines insurance clients, provides exceptional service, and ensures client satisfaction. This role involves handling all aspects of the client relationship, including policy renewals, claims support, and expert guidance on coverage options. The Senior Account Manager will also guide and mentor junior account managers, supporting and assisting with complex client situations.

Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management :
- Serves as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of personal lines clients.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and offering tailored insurance solutions.
- Conduct regular policy reviews and provide recommendations for coverage adjustments or improvements.
Policy Administration :
Oversee the preparation, execution, and delivery of new insurance policies, renewals, and endorsements.Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with industry standards.Manage and resolve any issues related to policy changes, cancellations, or endorsements promptly.Claims Support :
Acts as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers during the claims process.Provides guidance on the best course of action for the clients in the event of a claim.Sales and Retention :
Proactively identifies opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling personal lines products.Participate in the renewal process, ensuring the retention of existing clients.Provide detailed insurance proposals to clients based on their evolving needs.Team Leadership and Mentorship :
Guides and mentors junior account managers, supporting and assisting with complex client situations.Train and assist new team members to ensure they were knowledgeable about policies, processes, and systems.Leads by example regarding client service, professionalism, and insurance expertise.Industry Knowledge and Compliance :
Stay updated with industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes.Ensure all activities comply with insurance laws, regulations, and company policies.Educate clients about industry developments and how they impact their coverage needs.Reporting and Documentation :
Maintain accurate client records in the company's CRM or policy management system.Prepare periodic reports on client account status, claims, and retention metrics for management review.Requirements
Education :
A high school diploma is required; a bachelors degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance account management or a similar role.Strong background in handling high-value accounts and complex personal insurance needs.Licensing :
An active Virginia property and casualty insurance license is required.Skills and Abilities :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Advanced knowledge of personal lines products, including auto, homeowners, renters, and umbrella policies.Proficient in using insurance management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.Personal Attributes :
