Urgent Care Supervising Physician - St. Paul Metro

Job Description
The Supervising Physician partners with the Regional Medical Director in joint responsibility for the leadership, supervision and outcomes of all clinic activities and day to day operations. Together they work to assure a vibrant practice based on sound stewardship principles, and for the retention and recruitment of clinic physicians and advanced practice providers.
The Supervising Physician will work clinical and administrative time which consists of clinic time between a 0.50 FTE - 0.80 FTE and administrative time of a 0.15 FTE.
The Supervising Physician is responsible for ensuring outstanding clinical care, patient satisfaction, and access to affordable care in the context of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Triple Aim.
The Supervising Physician provides accountable leadership for all of the HealthPartners Medical Group goals and priorities, including the People, Experience, Health and Stewardship (Four Dimensions) goals.
The Supervising Physician has a good understanding of systems thinking and planning, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a basic understanding of finance, and an ability to make and execute difficult decisions.
Reporting Relationship :
The Supervising Physician reports directly to the Regional Medical Director (RMD).
Required Qualifications :
- Physician in good standing in a primary care specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine / Pediatrics) or Emergency Medicine
- M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent degree, board certification in Family Medicine, Med-Peds or Emergency Medicine
- Minnesota medical practice license
- Demonstrated communication skills and an ability to work effectively with all disciplines and levels of professionals within a large multi- specialty organization
- A commitment to develop leadership skills
