Job Summary
The Residential Facilities and Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the housing team, overseeing all aspects of residential facility operations. This role is responsible for housing building maintenance, capital planning, custodial services, emergency preparedness, contractor engagement, and facilities data reporting. The Manager ensures that residential environments are safe, sustainable, and conducive to student success, while aligning operations with institutional goals and the campus master plan.

COMPLEXITY / SCOPE OF WORK
Manages multiple functional areas including maintenance, custodial services, capital planning, emergency preparedness, and contractor oversight. Requires balancing daily operations with long-term projects, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with diverse stakeholders across campus and external vendors.

SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not have direct reports but will provide leadership to third-parties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree required.
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in facilities management, and supervision.
Demonstrated ability or strong potential to integrate facilities management with the goals of a residential educational environment.
Strong experience in performance management and team leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in higher education residential life or facilities operations.
Certification as a Real Property Administrator (RPA), Facilities Maintenance Administrator (FMA), or Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA).
More than five years of progressive facilities management experience.
