Job descriptionWork in a 26-bed Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital Patient population includes medical, surgical, and occasional PCU level patients Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1 : 3 to 1 : 5 Shift is 12 hours, with weekend coverage on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekend requirement is every other weekend No call or floating required Common drips include insulin, amiodarone, and levofed, with occasional titration required EMR system used is CPSI Required to read and interpret telemetry using Mindray cardiac monitors Support team includes nurse aides with a 1 : 8 ratio and in-house respiratory therapy available 24 / 7 Responsibilities may include caring for PCU patients based on competency No ICU within the hospital; critical patients are transferred as needed Orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor based on individual needs Pre-assignment online modules are required and take approximately 20 hours to complete Dress code is navy blue scrubs May be included in the holiday rotation as required First-time travelers are accepted for this position Active NM or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 3 years of Medical Surgical-Telemetry RN experience Ability to titrate multiple types of drips Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry Experience using Mindray monitors preferred High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
