Audio Lab Technician || MTV, California

Job Description :

  • Set up tests and equipment to perform tests and measurements of industry standard buses and interfaces.
  • Capture and maintain test data.
  • Debug issues relating to hardware, test set up, firmware, and software.
  • Install, test, repair, and validation of new and existing hardware.
  • Setup and maintain lab space, tools, and materials of a hardware R&D lab.
  • Work with various audio hardware and software teams for testing of existing and upcoming products
  • Perform automated and  manual audio tests.
  • Test and document assigned audio testing projects.
  • Report on testing results and work with engineers for interpretation.
  • Maintain the lab inventory for hardware equipment and software licenses
  • Assist with cabling looms and connection panels for audio test chambers.
  • Product quality validation focus on the Noise, vibration, and harshness validation and camcorder / record performance.
  • Audio EE and system validation including audio digital signals' quality, audio electrical performance, Audio Power consumption, Audio Compliance_EN50332, hot word detection and support audio DOE validation and reworked tasks.
  • Factory onsite support for FIH LH site base projects, both supporting Tech Eng Audio and Tech Eng. Display related task.
  • The task includes incoming material, process, test setup review / audit, test data breakdown and FA prioritization, major issue FA / CA, DOE execution, listening test etc. Also lead for post ramp Mic process contamination prevention.
  • Audio OTA / Voice quality, carrier requirement, acoustic performance(speaker, Microphone) validation.
