Job description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location : Rhode Island

Schedule : Full-Time, School-Based

Start Date : ASAP

About the Role :

Phaxis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support to students in a school setting in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a BCBA to implement behavior intervention plans and help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA
  • Provide direct 1 : 1 behavioral support to students throughout the school day
  • Collect and record data on student progress and behavior
  • Assist with developing and reinforcing positive behavior strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and school administrators
  • Support students in academic, social, and functional skill development

Qualifications :

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
  • Experience working with children or students with autism or behavioral needs (school experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in a school environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow structured behavior plans
