Role Overview
As an Ultrasound MFM Technician, you will operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to provide exceptional patient care. You will possess the skills and credentials required for this role, including ARDMS certifications necessary for ultrasound practice.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients’ ability to undergo diagnostic procedures while demonstrating a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and appropriate patient positioning.Create and execute procedural plans in accordance with established protocols.Identify sonographic features of normal and abnormal tissues, adjusting imaging techniques to improve quality and data collection.Perform necessary measurements and calculations per practice protocols.Ensure patient safety by minimizing exposure to acoustic energy without compromising diagnostic accuracy.Maintain compliance with established examination protocols and guidelines.Accurately document patient data and diagnostic findings according to established policies.Education & Experience
Associate Degree or higher in a relevant technological field.Graduation from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or at least one year of experience in obstetrics.Preferred : One year of experience as an MFM Sonographer.Licenses & Certifications
Credentials from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).ARDMS certification in Obstetrics to be obtained within one year of hire.Fetal Echocardiography (RDMS) certification to be secured within two years of employment.Fetal Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone Certification to be obtained within one year of employment.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.Join our dynamic team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, a leading multi-specialty hospital with over 360 beds, including specialized facilities such as St. David's Children's Hospital and more.
