Mainframe Storage Admin

Required Qualifications :

• Experienced MF Storage administrator / developer with 5 years of experience.
• Proven success with the implementation of new MF Storage technologies.
• Knowledge of and experience working with the following :
• Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication.
• IBM TAPE GRID configurations.
• Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension.
• ACC / SRS, ACS, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and / or DFDSS.
• Assembler and CLIST.
• Proficiency in SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX.

Summary :

A leading financial services company is looking to add a Mainframe Storage Admin / Developer to their team. Responsibilities will span systems engineering activities supporting Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity – includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software. Ability to work under minimal supervision from more seasoned consultants or managers – includes support of senior personnel and project managers on technical projects; may assist and help train junior analysts – includes guiding and providing technical peer reviews. Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors; exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. The role is on a 12 month contract, hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) in Plano, TX; Richmond, VA; or Hopewell, NJ. The position pays up to $60.55 / hour based on experience and skillset. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
