A fantastic opportunity for Hospitalist coverage is available near WALTHALL, MS, specifically designed to break up a block. With an average daily census of 25, this position offers 24-hour shifts, providing essential coverage for the facility. The staffing model includes 12 hours of in-person physician coverage during the day, complemented by 1 in-person Advanced Practice Clinician (APC). For night shifts, Telehealth APC coverage is provided, with a physician available on-call for backup support.

The facility boasts a 9-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and excitingly, it is expanding to 15 beds in April. This expansion will result in increased APC coverage, with 1 physician during the day and 2 APCs during the day. Moreover, the nighttime coverage will transition from Telehealth to in-person presence, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.

Board certification in Internal Medicine / Family Medicine is a requirement for this position. While candidates with 1-2 years of experience are preferred, the facility is open to considering individuals with a strong background in hospitalist care, regardless of their experience level. The current Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in use is Allscripts SCM, and an exciting transition to Epic is planned for April, providing an opportunity for candidates to adapt to a cutting-edge system.
