Job Title : Mechanical Superintendent
Job Description
As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in our team, supervising field operations and overseeing multiple Foremen and laborers / craft workers. Your key responsibilities will include organizing work methods, scheduling, cost control, ensuring conformity with drawings and specifications, and maintaining high workmanship standards. You will also build and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects / engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and jobsite staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and develop Junior Superintendents.
- Review and approve labor rates.
- Manage contract administration and communication.
- Maintain good client relations.
- Attend meetings for problem resolution and planning.
- Oversee job cost updates and cash flow projections.
- Review, approve, and negotiate changes, and implement project completion plans.
- Maintain daily records.
- Conduct timely performance evaluations.
- Recommend organizational, policy, procedural, or staff changes.
- Review and approve promotions up to General Foremen.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Santa Ana, California.
Work Environment
You will be working 100% of the time at a construction job site, either in a trailer or in the field.
Culture
This role requires a hands-on approach, getting involved in the details and not being confined to a desk.
Team Size
You will be part of a team of 40 people, including 25 field workers, 1 estimator, 1 operations manager, 6 project managers, and 3 superintendents.
Hours / Shift
You must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends, with shifts up to 16 hours.
Physical Requirements
Regularly works in outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noise, and dangerous / toxic substances.Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures and use personal protective equipment.Must recognize safety signs and signals both visually and audibly and exchange accurate information in these situations.Regularly ascends / descends ladders and stairs.Frequently moves equipment, supplies, and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.Regularly required to stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina, with constant movement and use of limbs.
