Accountant

Family-owned Morgan Murphy Media is seeking an Accountant for an exciting opportunity to join our team of accounting professionals. Our impressive portfolio of media entities includes WA-based Television and Radio Stations, and Local News Websites. We are looking for an accounting professional that not only has proven success in a financial position but also has exceptional communication skills and will bring innovative ideas to the table to help us create internal efficiencies.

This position will perform financial close and accounting functions as assigned. If you have a degree and work experience in accounting and you possess exceptional multi-tasking and customer service abilities, then we'd like you to become part of our team!

Primary Job Duties

Own all general ledger tasks, including preparation of account reconciliations and related journal entries

Implement efficiency opportunities within the organization

Support the Accounts Receivable process

Assist with annual audit and various other reporting projects

Other Accounting duties as assigned

Skills / Experience

Minimum 2-year accounting degree

2-years accounting experience

Microsoft Office expertise, including Excel and Word

Desire to learn new software such as MMM business systems

Strong attention to detail, proven ability to multi-task, and effective communication skills

Analytical thinker who can problem-solve proactively

Maintain confidentiality and rapport with managers and the financial team

Pay Range : $23.00 / hour - $28.00 / hour
