General Summary / Responsibilities : The Patient Care Technician is a multi-skilled individual able to perform technical and clinical tasks / procedures under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and delegated in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing. Identities abnormal findings based on established standards and guidelines and reports those findings to the Registered Nurse.

Additional requirements : Required to work within the scope of State and Federal minor labor and wage and hour limitations.

Licensure / Certification / Registration : Current HealthCare provider or Professional Rescuer BLS / Responder certification required prior to completion of orientation. Current State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

Working Permits : Every minor 14 through 17 years of age must have a working permit unless otherwise stated in Chapter 4109.
