Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is a 480-bed tertiary care center and the only Level II Adult Trauma Center in Pinellas County. A 38-bed neurosciences unit has a dedicated neurology team with subspecialty expertise in stroke, epilepsy and Parkinson s disease. Bayfront Health has been accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a Level 4 adult epilepsy center. This accreditation is reserved for centers providing the most complex forms of intensive neurodiagnostic monitoring, as well as more extensive medical, neuropsychological, and psychosocial treatment. Bayfront Health Baby Place offers full obstetrical care and, in partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children s Hospital, is a state-certified Level III Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center (RPICC) one of only 13 in Florida.

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care under the direction of an attending anesthesiologist in the operating room and satellite areas.
