Sr, Site Reliability Engineer

Provide locations / flexible work by preference : 1. Most preferred - Pittsburgh PA -, Cleveland OH - Strongsville Technology Center OR North Texas Market TX - Dallas Innovation Center - Luna Rd 2. Second preferred - reaming hubs no particular order - Birmingham AL - Birmingham -Brock, Phoenix - Biltmore

Ability to work remote : Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remotely

OT : Minimal - possibly on call on weekends if / when needed

Travel : No

Intended length of Assignment : At least a year

Reason for open position : Additional headcount / need

Industry background : Banking / financial is a huge plus

Roles and Responsibilities :

Responsible for scheduling, supporting and ongoing care and feeding of the pre-production environments.

This role is for environment management. The selected candidate will need to support the care and feeding of new environments. L1 support as well as the automation of repeatable functions, monitoring. alerting and scheduling / coordination of change windows and release management.

Key responsibilities :

Intermediate knowledge in SCM tools like ServiceNow and Jira.

Prioritize workflow, document processes, organize diverse material, and handle multiple competing and changing priorities

Conduct Review calls with PNC Infra and Application Team to understand current state

Assess current state and identify opportunities for automation and toil reduction

Design and implement framework to categorize / prioritize tasks that can be fully automated / Semi automated / avoided

Track outstanding defects

Create dashboards and alerts required for SRE Metrics compliance analysis

Work with SRE leads / Ops leads for creating backlog of Automation user stories and operate in sprint mode

Note Not looking for specifically a project manager, but anyone who has done environment management or management in general is helpful

Level 3 : 4-6 YRS

Must Have Technical Skills :

Linux / Windows server admin and maintenance

Dynatrace, Glassbox and / or Grafana - most important skill is Dynatrace

Experience in supporting multiple concurrent competing work efforts and experience in identifying dependencies and addressing scheduling conflicts

Experience with project coordination tools like Jira and MS Project

Advanced knowledge on multiple software development lifecycle processes

Experience with in-house developed solution and vendor products to provide a stable testing environment for new / enhanced application solutions

Oncall experience for addressing troubleshooting tickets

Ability to create dashboards and alerts required to provide quick and effective communication to team members and consumers of the environments

Advanced knowledge of App Server, Web Server, Database (starting / stopping / log reading and basic scripting skills.

Flex Skills / Nice to Have :

Program / project management skills

Experience in supporting multiple concurrent competing work efforts

Experience in identifying dependencies and addressing scheduling conflicts

Experience in project coordination tools like Jira and MS Project

Software Engineering with languages like Python, Java or JavaScript

Experience with Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift

Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, capable of simultaneously working on multiple assignments, team-player, able to adapt and apply new technologies when needed.

Solid communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
