This role is for a strategic and results-oriented sales leader who can drive significant growth within their assigned geographic region. You'll be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a high-performing team, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve ambitious targets.
What You'll Do :
- Develop & Execute Go-to-Market Strategies : Identify, develop, and implement sales channel and distribution strategies to achieve this company’s mission and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets for all whole good sales. This includes leveraging both factory-direct retail sales and dealer channels in existing and new markets.
- Prioritize & Achieve Sales Targets : Focus on hitting AOP targets, with the following priorities :
- Semitrailer Market Share Percentage (MS%)
- Semitrailer Standard Margin
- Equipment Trailer Unit Sales
- Equipment Trailer Standard Margins
- Sales Expense Management
- Drive Sales Performance : Consistently meet or exceed monthly closing targets for both semitrailers and equipment trailers.
- Team Leadership & Development : Recruit, retain, and lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to succeed.
- Sales & Operations Alignment : Collect and disseminate crucial information from your sales team to ensure timely and effective sales and operations planning, accurate raw material cost assessment, optimal inventory levels, and precise sales forecasting.
- New Product Development Support : Collaborate on New Product Development (NPD) programs, helping to achieve milestone dates and sales targets for new models.
- Enhance Business Processes : Partner with the Customer Support team and other departments to develop and implement reporting systems that improve workflow efficiency and productivity across the entire value chain.
- Marketing & Promotional Support : Contribute to the development of marketing and promotional materials (e.g., catalogs, brochures, social media, website updates, advertising campaigns) and support trade show participation.
- Market Intelligence : Collect, analyze, and disseminate competitive and market intelligence to inform leadership team’s NPD programs and pricing strategies.
What You'll Bring :
Experience & Education : A Bachelor's degree in a related field and / or 10-15 years of progressively responsible sales experience, including managing a sales and / or dealer distribution team. You should have a proven track record of managing at least $100M+ in annual sales revenue .Communication Skills : Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are essential.Leadership & Business Acumen : Strong leadership capabilities with a deep understanding of business best practices and how to implement them consistently.Technical Proficiency : Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Travel Readiness : A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record for extensive travel.
