Warehouse Worker

The main function of a warehouse worker is to receive, store and issue materials, equipment and other items from stockroom, warehouse or storage yard. Job responsibilities include receiving and counting stock items, packing and unpacking items, verifying inventory computations, storing items in an orderly and accessible manner, marking stock items, cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas, keeping records on the use and / or damage of stock or stock handling equipment, examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, and providing assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Skills required include verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability, being a team player and detail oriented, and knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

Education / experience required includes a high school diploma or GED and 2-4 years experience. Previous title(s) include : Material Handler.

This position is a contract to hire based out of Old Lyme, CT. The pay range for this position is $19.75 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Old Lyme, CT. This position is anticipated to close on Dec 9, 2025.
