Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance, including ethical practice and communication. Strives to achieve optimal patient outcomes through culturally congruent practice, collaboration, and evidence-based care. Education requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing required within specified time frames for new RNs. Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program is required. Excellent communication, time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential. Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Acts as a patient and family advocate, assessing needs and identifying potential issues. Develops individualized care plans and evaluates educational needs of patients and families. Ensures timely and accurate documentation.
