Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling products through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. The representative will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales and communications skills, developing phone-based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Cold-call prospects that are generated by external sources of leads and identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base through strategic account development.
  • Collaborate with customer service and operations Teams to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects through use of CRM system (pipeline deals).
  • Deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations and other sales actions to prospective clients.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients and support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events as needed.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and email to cross-sell and up-sell products and services.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers using SPIN selling techniques and established sales methodologies.
  • Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, discuss payment terms, and prepare sales order forms and reports.
  • Provide initial customer profile and order information to Customer Service for sales order processing.
  • Attend periodic sales training where applicable and maintain current knowledge of products and industry trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

  • University or college degree, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of direct work experience in a sales or tele-sales capacity within the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
  • Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Strong problem identification, negotiation and objection resolution skills.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills with excellent listening skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • SPIN Selling training or certification.
  • Relevant experience utilizing CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Experience in the medical device or healthcare technology industry.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is desirable, as we serve customers globally.
  • Knowledge of medical devices, healthcare industry regulations, and medical terminology is an asset.
  • Physical / Mental Demands :

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers and team members.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and evening work to meet sales targets.
  • Work may require occasional travel to attend sales events, exhibits, or client meetings.
  • Physical activity includes sitting for extended periods, walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Work under stress in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.
  • Must be alert, able to concentrate, maintain focus during extended phone conversations, and use good judgment in sales situations.
