Description :

The unit features 25 beds with over 40 staff members.

Staffing consists of 1 free charge nurse, 1 unit coordinator, 2 patient care technicians, and 5 registered nurses on the day shift.

Night shift staffing includes 5 registered nurses and 1 patient care technician.

Patient ratios are generally 6 : 1, with occasional 5 : 1.

Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps.

The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech.

Candidates are preferred to have experience in :

Managing chest tubes.

Managing non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips.

Managing weight-based heparin drips.

Dress code requires royal blue scrubs.

Candidates with telemetry experience and Meditech familiarity will be prioritized.
