Job Summary :
Plan and provide professional nursing care for residents in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to residents in accordance with the scope of the Graduate Nurse as defined by the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing; under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse overseeing the unit.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :
Under the Direct Supervision of an RNMaintain accurate resident care recordsAdminister medication and treatment as ordered by physician. Receive, review, and transcribe physician's orders.Communicate and act as liaison between staff and the Clinical Manager or Nursing Supervisor and communicates staff concerns / suggestions to Nursing SupervisorResponsible for proper utilization of supplies and equipment by staffCooperate in providing a safe and pleasant environment and maintaining a high level of morale for residents and nursing personnelInitiate disciplinary procedures as needed for staffEstablish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promotes guest relationsPerforms admissions, transfers and discharges (within scope of practice)Make accurate clinical assessments and observations in emergency medical situations and promptly calls for assistance as needed and follows emergency procedures and responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies ensuring the safety of the residents and staffObserve and evaluate symptoms and conditions of residents and assure that families and physician are updated and physician orders are followedPlan, implement, and see to completion the resident's plan of care. One (1) year of clinical experience or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or similar preferredCertified in CPR by an approved program that meets state and federal regulationGraduation from a Nursing Diploma program or an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing ProgramTemporary Practice Permit
