Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience required. Patient provider support includes various interdisciplinary services. Provider coverage includes Hospitalist and Anesthesiologist. Experience with Omnicell med system and Meditech Expanse EMR is desirable. SBAR communication is utilized. Candidates must have experience handling facility births per month between 100-200. The RN must assist with sterile speculum exams, recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and conducting NSTs. The RN should be skilled in starting and maintaining peripheral IVs, use of infusion pumps, and IV monitoring. Experience with various medications including anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, and magnesium sulfate therapy is required. The RN will assist with vaginal delivery and circulate for C-sections. Recovery of C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, and collecting cord samples are part of the role. Neonatal resuscitation and breastfeeding support are important responsibilities. The RN will manage episiotomy / incisional care and perform bladder distension assessments. Caring for postpartum hemorrhage and various high-risk conditions is essential. Support for labor and delivery, along with assistance for multiple births, is also required. Familiarity with D&C and tubal ligation procedures is beneficial. The RN may work with a diverse patient demographic, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Attention to patient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is critical. Candidates must be ready for comprehensive and supportive patient care in a fast-paced environment. Basic fetal monitoring certification may be required for new graduate RNs or those without previous Labor and Delivery experience. Intermediate and advanced fetal monitoring training will be expected within designated timeframes.
