About The Position

Job Title : Physical Therapist Profession : PT Specialty : Physical Therapy Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 8H Days Hours per Shift : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License : Valid PT license required. Certifications : BLS required. Must-Have : Experience in long-term recovery therapy preferred. Description : Department : Physical Therapy. The therapist will treat 6-8 patients per day, depending on the overall caseload. There is a staffing team that includes multiple physical therapists, a physical therapist assistant, a certified occupational therapy assistant, an occupational therapist, and a speech-language pathologist. Common diagnoses include post-surgical cases, orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions, sports medicine, and complex medical issues. The therapist may work in various settings such as outpatient, inpatient, swing bed, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. Flexibility to float between different areas is required, including seeing patients across multiple care settings within a single day. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience; clinical experience does not count toward this requirement. Preference will be given to those with experience in long-term care or skilled nursing. The schedule is managed by a director of rehabilitation and an office assistant; self-scheduling is not an option. Shifts are typically 8 hours long with flexible start times available. Weekend work is occasionally required, while holiday work is not mandatory. Dress code allows for any color scrubs or business casual attire. Department-specific orientation is provided, and travelers are expected to work a full patient load by the second week. The expected productivity rate is 75%. A 30-mile radius rule applies for travel considerations. Please note if the candidate has previously worked for this organization.
