Research Associate I or II
12-month contract
Lexington, MA
Purpose :
Support multiple research projects focused on accelerating the evaluation and clinical translation of RNA-based therapies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform siRNA compound screening and structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies
- Execute cellular / molecular biology techniques :
- Mammalian cell culture
- RNA extraction & RT-qPCR
- Protein extraction & western blots
- ELISA and MSD assays
- Histology techniques : IHC, in situ hybridization, standard staining
- Conduct in vivo testing : mouse dosing (SC / IV), necropsy, sample analysis
- Analyze and present experimental data in team meetings
- Maintain detailed lab notebooks and write SOPs and technical reports
- Collaborate closely with the research team to address key efficacy questions
Qualifications :
Level I : Associate’s degree + 1–3 years lab experienceLevel II : BS / BA + 3–4 years in drug discovery (pharma preferred)Must have hands-on experience with qPCR and western blottingAnimal handling and dosing experience preferredFlow cytometry / cell sorting a plusStrong communication skills, team collaboration, and ability to drive projects forward independentlyTop Skills Desired by Hiring Manager :
