US&C Tax Business Advisory Manager

We are looking to add a Manager to our US&C Tax Business Advisory team! Are you a team player, not afraid of a rapidly changing environment, and have a broad tax technically sharp background? At its core, your job is to work on strategic initiatives and projects, including analyzing and advising on the tax implications of new products and lines of business across US&C and globally. More specifically, you will need to identify tax risks, suggest practical solutions and technical requirements, and oversee their implementation. In your role, you will work in a highly motivated and supportive team. You'll work closely together with Operations, Product, Legal, and other stakeholders in designing Uber's latest products and features. Key is to understand the business needs while providing full tax support to deliver a seamless, tax-compliant, and efficient experience for Uber, our Partners, and End Users.

What You'll Do :

• Provide full end-to-end tax advice and support on strategic initiatives and projects as well as new products while managing tax risks and ensuring tax requirements are implemented.
• Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement in Uber's existing business models.
• Design, test and implement scalable improvements and solutions to the tax issues you identify.
• Perform tax research and monitor / analyze existing and proposed tax legislation to identify impacts to Uber's business lines / products.
• Work with regional Tax Business Advisory tax teams to coordinate global projects regarding new product offerings, modifications to existing products and other strategic initiatives.
• Partner with key contacts in business teams, finance, treasury, accounting, and legal to identify and implement tax planning strategies and minimize potential tax risks.
• Partner with and manage external advisors as necessary.
• Review contracts and collaborate with business, legal, and tax teams to ensure contracts contain key terms consistent with global tax structure.
• Support tax provision and tax audits as necessary.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles : The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$166,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
