SGCS is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Maximo Specialist to support the operation, configuration, and continuous improvement of the IBM Maximo asset management system. The ideal candidate will manage the Maximo database, support preventive maintenance strategies, assist with auditing and validation (travel required in the Midwest, Mexico, and Canada), and ensure system alignment with plant maintenance and reliability goals. Problem solving experience on the manufacturing floor required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Configure, maintain, and administer the IBM Maximo system for asset management, work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
- Support maintenance, engineering, and facilities teams by developing workflows, reports, and KPIs within Maximo.
- Train end users, troubleshoot system issues, and provide helpdesk support for Maximo-related functions.
- Collaborate with IT and corporate Maximo teams to implement system updates, integrations, and patches.
- Ensure data accuracy for assets, locations, and work history; coordinate audits and updates as needed.
- Analyze maintenance performance data and recommend process improvements using Maximo insights.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Maximo usage across departments.
- Coordinate with purchasing and finance teams to align inventory and cost tracking within Maximo.
- Participate in reliability improvement initiatives and capital project support related to equipment tracking and lifecycle management.
Qualifications :
Associate or bachelor’s degreeFacilities Maintenance Background2+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Maximo (v7.6 or higher) in a manufacturing, facilities, or industrial setting.Ability to travel to the Midwest, Mexico, and CanadaStrong understanding of maintenance operations, asset lifecycle management, and CMMS best practices.Proficiency in SQL, BIRT report development, and Excel-based data management.Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) experienceStrong Excel skills (including V-lookup)Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.Strong presentation skillsAbility to learn, adapt, and resolve conflictPreferred Skills :

Pay : $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
