We are excited to announce openings for our Weekend Only Program in our Medical Surgical Team. Join our dedicated team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City!

Compensation and Benefits :

Competitive base pay with an additional $15.00 differential for weekend shifts.
Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 available!

Position Overview :

As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Surgical unit, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients, demonstrating a commitment to compassion and quality. You will collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the highest quality of life for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities :

Utilize nursing standards to enhance patient care and life quality.

Establish rapport with patients and families, guiding them through care plans tailored to their unique needs.

Implement and evaluate patient care strategies based on a holistic assessment of individual needs.

Lead and coordinate care efforts with families and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and comfort measures.

Foster an environment that encourages teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth among nursing staff.

Maintain adherence to evidence-based practices, ensuring culturally sensitive and effective care.

Stay alert and perform duties in a safe manner, always prioritizing patient safety.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Minimum of one year of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.

Current RN license in the relevant state (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin) and Basic Life Support certification required.

Physical and Emotional Requirements :

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Comfort with frequent walking, standing, lifting, and the physical demands of patient care.

Capacity to maintain a safe and alert state of mind in the workplace.
