The Commercial Underwriter / Credit Analyst is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include :

  • Collaborating with relationship managers to structure loan requests in alignment with the Bank's risk appetite and credit policies, including the preparation of pre-screen memorandums.
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex corporate and personal financial statements - such as tax returns, CPA-reviewed financials, audits, and SEC filings - using spreading software and analytical tools.
  • Evaluating collateral value and repayment sources through internal and external collateral assessments.
  • Preparing high-quality, concise, and informative loan approval memorandums that outline credit risks and mitigating factors for senior credit decision-makers.
  • Performing annual reviews and ongoing covenant monitoring for existing commercial borrowers.
  • Working independently to provide timely and accurate support to both internal partners and external clients.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in specific industries or loan types, as assigned.

Specific qualifications for the position include :

  • 1-5 years of experience as a C&I credit analyst or underwriter, or equivalent work, military, or academic experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex financial statements and tax returns.
  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Understanding of collateral lien perfection and familiarity with banking platforms and tools is preferred.
  • Experience with systems such as Moody's Risk Analyst or CreditLens, FIS, OnBase, IBS Insight, and BankerInsight is strongly preferred.
  • Pay Rate Range : $90,000+ annually

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
