Short Description

• Directs daily activities within the department.
• Facilitates employee orientation and training.
• Performs area specific QA / QC procedures.
• Performs radiographic procedures in accordance with the ALARA concept.
• Assists physicians with radiographic procedures.
• Performs various operations using radiographic and associated equipment.
• Assures maintenance of all radiographic and associated equipment.
• Maintains patient records via appropriate system.
• Performs patient care functions in a safe environment.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Substantiates status of good standing with state and national licensing / credentialing agencies by the submission of appropriate documentation.
• Interacts effectively with all customers.
• Assists staff and students in the performance of radiographic procedures and associated duties.
• Participates in the evaluation of staff and students as needed.
• Assists with the transportation of patients, maintains work area and performs basic clerical duties.

Experience Required

Certificate of completion / Degree from an Accredited Radiograph Program.

Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; biennial completion of minimum required CE credits to maintain required certification / accreditation

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
