Your role Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, JOB SUMMARY : The Distribution Associate is responsible for the efficient handling of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and storing materials, including cold chain and controlled substances, while ensuring that they are stored in appropriate environments. They ensure that production lines are consistently supplied with the necessary materials, following FEFO inventory practices, and updating inventory records in the ERP system. The role requires operating materials handling equipment, maintaining safety standards, and performing regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. The associate will also handle data entry related to goods receipts and material movements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES : Goods Received & Products Shipped 50%) Receives raw materials and packaging components, for manufacturing and packaging. Unloads trucks and proper places (cold chain, controlled substances and labeling) material in the warehouse so that material is staged for inspection. Receives cold chain materials to support manufacturing and distribution operations. Ensures each product / material is stored in the correct cold chain environment. Receives / checks finished goods quantities from the packaging lines for accuracy. Inspects all incoming and outbound freight and trailer conditions. Takes corrective action as required to ensure delivery of freight in acceptable condition by following Shipping and Receiving SOPs and documented Inspection procedures. Verifies product release from QA, prepares shipments, and completes paperwork for outbound products. Ships products as required. Locates, picks, & delivers materials from transfer orders for shipment in FEFO sequence. Enters ERP transactions for receipt and shipping of goods. Production Lines Supplied with Materials & Components (50%) Locates, picks, & delivers materials from transfer orders to production in FEFO sequence. Accurately follows Pick Lists and conducts supporting transactions in ERP to update Inventory. Supports the Production Lines with material and components according to the weekly schedule to include changes. Operates Forklifts and other equipment following safety procedures. Maintains awareness of pedestrian traffic, dock and racking conditions at all times when operating equipment. Enters ERP Transactions for material movements. Your profile EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE : High School Diploma / GED required Requires basic education and training to understand and follow standard practice or oral instruction, use basic arithmetic maintain records, or use basic office equipment. Two years' experience in a pharmaceutical industry preferred. Licensed operator of materials handling equipment preferred or the ability to obtain licenses / certification within the first 6-8 months on the job. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES : Must be able to operate all types of materials handling equipment (walkie trucks and three and four wheeled forklift trucks). SCOPE OF DECISION-MAKING : Decisions require some judgment. Perform repetitive or routine duties working from detailed instructions and under standard procedures. Requires making minor decisions. LEVEL OF SUPERVISION PROVIDED : Individual contributor, not responsible for the work others. INTERNAL / EXTERNAL CONTACTS : Primarily within department or immediate work unit : Requires contacts within the department or functional area on routine matters, or contacts with other departments. Occasionally contacts individuals outside the organization. Contacts are primarily for the purpose of supplying or seeking information. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENT : Considerable mental / visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental / visual attention. Unusual and sustained coordination of mind and eye. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a cool room (41°F) for 15-minute intervals. Must be able to load and unload -70°C and -20°C freezers. Exposure to severe cold is about 5 minutes per frequency. Lab / production environment with some disagreeable elements such as noise, dust, fumes, heat, safety hazards, etc. Requires frequent lifting or other stressful physical activities. Subject to frequent interruptions of normal routine. Must be able to work "B-Shift" when needed. Compensation range 19.71 - 22.60 USD
