Type : Contract, Part-Time (5-8 shifts / month)
Schedule : Sunday-Saturday | 10-hour shifts (Days, Swings, or Nights as needed)
Hourly Rate : $ 195.82
Position Overview
J Edward Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Services Physician to provide comprehensive emergency medical care at a U.S. military medical facility in Nevada . This role is ideal for an experienced Emergency Medicine professional seeking a mission-driven opportunity to serve those who serve our nation.
The selected physician will perform a full range of emergency medical services, including the diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, resuscitation, stabilization, and coordination of patient care across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver emergency medical services meeting or exceeding military community standards of practice.
- Perform a wide range of procedures including but not limited to :
Incision & drainage, lumbar puncture, pericardiocentesis, thoracostomy
Reduction of dislocations / fractures, airway management, procedural sedationSuture or staple simple and multilayered lacerationsPerform emergency vaginal deliveries and stabilize newbornsInterpret ECGs, lab results, and imaging studies (including CT scans)Respond to Code Blue events and provide resuscitation as needed.Coordinate with transfer facilities and consulting specialists.Provide discharge instructions and ensure follow-up for abnormal results.Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with MTF (Military Treatment Facility) directives.Attend staff and committee meetings as workload permits.Minimum Qualifications
Education : Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency (acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General).Board Certification : Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) .Experience : Minimum of 3 years relevant experience post-residency.Licensure : Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.Certifications : Current BLS (Course C) , ACLS , and PALS (AHA or ARC only).Security Clearance : Must be able to pass a Government background check / security clearance..Occupational Health Requirements
