Mammography Technologist – Contract Opportunity
Location - Dallas, TX
Shift : Monday–Friday | 7 : 00 AM–3 : 30 PM, 7 : 30 AM–4 : 00 PM, or 8 : 00 AM–4 : 30 PM
Hours : 40 hours / week guaranteed
On-Call : None
Weekends : None
Pay for traveler - $60- $66
Pay for local candidate - $ 52 - $57
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a dynamic diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate is skilled in producing high-quality breast imaging studies, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining compliance with all professional standards and regulatory guidelines.
Equipment
Hologic – 7 units
GE – 2 units
Daily Volume : Approximately 20–25 cases per technologist
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality mammography exams in accordance with physician orders and clinical standards.
Assist with special procedures such as biopsies and needle localizations (as needed).
Process and review image quality to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
Complete Quality Control procedures per ACR guidelines and report equipment issues promptly.
Document all procedures accurately in the Radiology Information System.
Provide clear communication to patients about procedures, supporting comfort and confidence.
Maintain positive working relationships with patients, staff, and providers.
Participate in student technologist training when assigned.
Seek opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
Stay up-to-date with regulations, accreditation requirements, best practices, and modality advances.
Participate in performance improvement programs, department meetings, and annual goals.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 2+ years of Mammography Technologist experience – REQUIRED
ARRT (R) required
ARRT (M) Advanced Mammography Certification – Preferred
Experience with screening & diagnostic mammograms, biopsies, and needle localizations – Highly Preferred
Texas MRT license – REQUIRED
