Finance Assistant (Entry)

Job Summary

The Finance Assistant will support the daily accounting operations of AGS America Opelika plant, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks. This position is ideal for individuals beginning their career in accounting and provides a strong foundation in general ledger management, journal entries, and financial reporting.

Job Description

• Perform daily and monthly journal entries under supervision
• Assist with accounts payable (A / P) and accounts receivable (A / R) functions
• Support payroll processing by preparing and verifying time records
• Assis in collecting and organizing financial data for internal and external reporting
• Prepare basic reconciliations and assist in maintaining general ledger entries
• Support documentation for audits, tax filings, and financial reviews
• Help monitor expenses and assist with cost tracking
• Maintain organized records and support invoices and contract filing
• Participate in periodic inventory count and fixes asset review
• Perform other administrative and accounting support duties as assigned by Finance Manager
