- Job Title : Warehouse Lead. Schedule : M-F 8-5 PM but might work Saturdays Contract : 6 months with possible extension
Top 3 Skills : Kitting Experience is a HUGE Plus for this role, Cycle counting experience, Oracle experience is a huge plus
Typically works within a warehouse sector and a group of between 8 - 15 operators LWB1 and LWB2Responsible for the safety, ergonomic, and 5S behavior within the sectorResponsible for training and certification of operators LWB1 and LWB2 and contributing to the updates of the versatility and training matrixRequired to complete LWB1 and LWB2 activities as neededLeads the sector SIM1 meetingBasic problem solving or simple maintenance as requiredMay be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand or prioritiesMay be responsible for (contributing to the) creation / updating Operational Work Standard (OWS) and Job Breakdown Sheet (JBS)Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to)
Ensure compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout the sector, including reporting and managing incidents and near missesSupport inventory accuracy & correction operations are realizedDrive the actions to get service level, quality, environment, process lead time, maintenance & ensures productivity goals are reachedLead SIM cycle 1 according to SPS rules, ensuring the quality of information provided to the warehouse supervisor for SIM 2Make sure operators are trained & validates training levelsDrive in real-time daily adjustments of staff according to the needs and job rotationKey contributor to the work instruction (physical tasks and IT tasks)Request to Order Management the replenishment of consumables not managed by ROP in the systemContribute or lead continuous improvement actionsResponsible for the continuous supply of materials to one or more production or assembly areasResponsible for “kitting” materials on the production line to ensure all parts of order required are at point of origination to keep line moving at steady paceResponsible for picking parts from Kanban or storage areas and placing the parts into a storage bin (kit)Ensures correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirementsMay take parts from inventory area and ensures Water Spider is kept stocked at appropriate levels of inventoryPerforms repetitive material supply functions following detailed work direction and guidelinesMay operate forklift truck or hand truck for delivery or picking of parts and suppliesSorts and counts parts and supplies and logs inventoryInspects parts for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and / or purchasing personnelMay trace or track lost parts and suppliesMay maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file kitting recordsFollows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and / or infection control standardsEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesDocument material movement using computer tabletsEstablishes and maintains a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirementsPerforms other tasks as may be requested to assure the effective and continuous utilization of assets.Requirements
