Job Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders and administer medications while performing treatments, procedures, and special tests in compliance with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and understand patients' conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate needs and responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in all management decisions regarding patient care.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer all medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for each patient.
- Supervise and mentor ancillary personnel while upholding high professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools is advantageous, along with the ability to apply these in support of departmental and patient care quality.Thank you for considering a position at Albany Medical Center!
