Location : Barberton, Ohio (44203) – Akron area healthcare jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : 4 South (4S) – 24-bed mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit

Start Date : December 14, 2025

End Date : February 7, 2026

Duration : 8-week nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratios : 1 : 5 / 6

Float : Required to other hospital units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Telemetry RN experience

Active Registered Nurse license (Nursys verification required)

ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be documented on resume)

Accredited nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE program

Ability to provide up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) at submission

Strong telemetry and progressive care background

Comfortable caring for COVID-19 and isolation patients

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit setting

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, administer cardiovascular medications, and manage IV drips

Perform frequent neurological assessments and respond to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans

Float to other hospital units as needed for clinical support

Document all nursing care accurately in Epic EMR

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
