American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and active WA license to perform diagnostic and screening mammograms in a high-volume outpatient setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Outpatient mammography department serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patientsProcedures include 3-D mammography, screening and diagnostic mammograms, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsiesProficiency in producing high quality diagnostic mammographic images and performing special procedures with physician staffDepartment operates Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to 4 : 30pmShift is 5x8 hours, typically 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pmAll new staff have 25 exams observed by another tech before working independentlyEpic EMR experience requiredFloating to other campuses within the state may be requiredFormer permanent staff must have a 3-month separation before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the assignment locationFirst-time travelers are acceptedMinimal to no requested time off (RTO) is preferred; all requests must be disclosed prior to submissionReliable transportation is required; travel pairs must have separate vehiclesAll onboarding compliance tasks must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptanceCompletion of non-billable onboarding modules is required pre-start and annuallyScrubs or department-appropriate attire requiredAdherence to Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and FDA quality requirements is mandatory\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA license required if applicableMinimum 1 year of experience in mammography; 2 years full-time strongly preferredBLS and ARRT certifications requiredAbility to accurately produce high quality diagnostic mammographic imagesWorking knowledge of breast anatomy, x-ray equipment, radiographic exposure factors, and mandated quality control proceduresMust provide two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years\n Benefits\n
