Seeking a motivated individual who is interested in working as a full-time caregiver with some office work mixed in. Great experience to add to any resume in the healthcare industry. Healthcare Plus has an immediate opening in its Freeport office for a Floater in Stephenson and Jo Daviess Counties. Previous CNA experience is a plus. Training is provided and all resumes will be considered. No previous experience is required. Please contact if you are interested in the position. This is a full-time position that will include both working in the field and administrative duties in the office.
General Requirements :
- GED or High School Diploma
- Social Security card or Birth Certificate
- Driver's License
- Clean driving record with car insurance
- Provide support to the team by covering unexpected call off / sick days from our field workers, and to start initial cases.
- Start interim cases as needed by the team.
- Provide one-on-one client care to clients who are not able to look after themselves.
- Assists clients with activities of daily living as directed in their Plan of Care.
- Assists clients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household needs, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
- Assists clients by providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and diaper changes.
- Assists clients to care for themselves by monitoring the use of a cane, walker, wheelchair, special utensils to eat, and equipment for personal hygiene.
- Monitor nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
- Record the client's activities and changes by making entries in the client tasks report and notifying the supervisor of any unusual conditions.
- Contact the case supervisor immediately for any refused or undelivered service.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy client environment by following Universal Standards Precautions, maintaining security procedures, and following the special instructions standards.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Adheres to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
- Provide client transportation to and from doctor appointments as needed.
- Be willing to work in a household where the client has one or more of the following preferences : pets (dogs, cats, etc.), smoke, and hoarding living conditions.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
- In the event that the floater doesn't receive a field assignment for a day, the floater must help in the office by filing paperwork, making calls, documenting notes in the Portal, organizing presentation materials, or any tasks assigned by the Lead Supervisor.
