Prep Cook

Primary Purpose

The Prep Cook position is primarily responsible for preparing all food items for the restaurant while maintaining a sanitary work environment by keeping a clean work area and disposing of waste / recycle / compost according to the standards of The Hollywood Tavern.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The Prep Cook has primary responsibility for the following :

• Demonstrating a customer-first attitude and living Hollywood Tavern’s culture, mission and values.
• Ability to properly and safely use a knife.
• Adhering to recipes provided by Hollywood Tavern.
• Adhering to prep list provided by the Kitchen Manager.
• Working in an efficient manner while minimizing waste.
• Receiving, checking in and putting away orders from food vendors.
• Understanding and demonstrating Hollywood Tavern’s commitment to an eco-friendly waste / compost / recycle program.
• Taking out garbage, recycle and compost as needed.
• Assisting dishwasher position with dishes as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Keeping sanitation buckets in the kitchen and dish area fresh and stocked with a towel.
• Proper communication with the KM.
