SUMMARY :

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Entry-Level Addiction Counselor to join our clinical team. In this rewarding role, you will provide essential assessment, treatment planning, and counseling services to clients dealing with chemical dependency issues. You will work under the guidance of a staff psychiatrist in a collaborative clinical environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Act as a primary therapist by offering Substance Use Disorder treatment through both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Ensure timely completion of progress summaries and all required patient documentation.
• Conduct quality audits of patient records for compliance and accuracy.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments to determine client diagnoses and appropriate care levels.
• Provide engaging individual, family, and group counseling that motivates clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Create personalized and culturally sensitive treatment plans for each client.
• Communicate effectively with other care providers and referral sources to enhance understanding of client issues.
• Participate in professional supervision and continuing education to continually enhance client care quality.
• Complete medical record documentation promptly and in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Achieve productivity targets by employing strategies to engage clients and minimize missed appointments.
• Work as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver optimal patient care.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position involves sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Most of the time you will be sitting, with some requirement to walk or stand briefly.

PAY RANGE :

$61,000.00 - $77,000.00

The listed base pay range represents good faith compensation for a successful full-time applicant and may be adjusted in the future. Compensation will be determined by factors such as experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, and location.
