QA Engineer

Job Overview

looking for a seasoned Senior QA Engineer to bolster our quality assurance team. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who possesses a deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both manual and automated testing environments, with a keen eye for identifying and solving complex issues. Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is highly valued, as this background will provide critical insights into our specific testing requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare all documentation for test strategy, test plans, test estimates, test cases and test scripts. Work with the Onshore and offshore team members to track the work daily. Design, develop, and execute test strategies and plans.

Need UAT, Postman, Swagger, Selenium, API Testing

Perform the integration and system testing activities. Experience in creating test plans, UAT plans, reviewing test cases / scenarios with other stakeholders. Experience with API testing using Postman or SOAP UI Experience and proficient with basic SQL / database testing Manage working relationship between QA team, Development team, Product team, Business stakeholders. Deliver planning, execution, and reporting for project / program testing activities. Work with extended team to resolve quality issues. Execute application test cases and issue remediation tasks. Thorough working knowledge of developing, maintaining, and executing test scenarios and test cases. Experience tracking and retesting defects and reporting status to various levels of the project organization. Assist with application transition to UAT. Provide the required support for UAT testing. Work with the Business analysts and development teams' group to assist in creating test scenarios, and application verification. Participate in post-release / post-implementation testing and conduct root cause analysis for defects to implement long-term improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

Proficient in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Experience with Defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Test Complete, QTP) and frameworks.

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in testing web applications and understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.). Good SQL and analysis experience and techniques.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Prior experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is highly preferred. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) for script-based automation is a plus. Experience with Defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
