Risk Consulting - Regulatory Compliance - Power Utilities-Manager

The objective of our consulting risk services is to provide clients with a candid and reliable overview of their risk landscape. Our solutions can be used by our clients to build confidence and trust with their customers, the overall market, and when required by regulation or contract.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing consulting projects focused on regulatory compliance for power utilities.
  • Developing and implementing compliance strategies and programs tailored to client needs.
  • Conducting regulatory risk assessments and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Staying abreast of regulatory changes and ensuring clients are informed and compliant.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Mentoring and developing junior consultants.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Contributing to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.

  • Provide guidance and share knowledge with team members.
  • Evaluate regulatory accounting treatment applied by the client.
  • Analyze and interpret relevant regulations and key industry guidelines.
  • Review detailed flowcharts based on stakeholder walkthroughs.
  • Assess large data sets and sample evidence to support detailed testing and regulatory compliance filings.
  • Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client management.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of compliance, financial, and operational risks.
  • Bring knowledge of the client's business / industry to identify technological developments.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills.
  • Understand EY and its service lines.
  • To Qualify For The Role You Must Have

  • Bachelor's or master's degree.
  • CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the power utilities sector.
  • Proven track record of managing consulting projects and delivering results.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in applying relevant technical skills related to accounting, external auditing or forensic accounting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
