Responsibilities

Press Technician position will be located in our new core plant in Whitehall, MI. This is an off-shift role : 2nd or 3rd shift. Primary responsibilities will include :

• Troubleshoot and problem solve forming issues at the press
• Manage die / gauge storage area
• Aids in implementing continuous improvements and is a valuable link in the cell help chain.
• Check overall quality of core jobs
• Enter data into computer if applicable
• Good understanding of PLC controlled presses
• Good understanding of forming ceramics
• Assists production planning in press / die compatibility
• Review dies to verify conformity / functionality pior to setup
• Notify supervisor or injection specialist of any die problems that may affect schedule
• Troubleshoot forming issues
• Assist in training and development of new set up techs and press operators
• Review and update coating inspection records
