    Position Overview :

    As a Staff Accountant , you will play a critical role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and helping to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with senior accountants and other cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and contributing to the company's financial success.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • General Accounting : Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
    • Month-End Close : Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing financial statements, posting adjustments, and preparing necessary reports.
    • Accounts Payable & Receivable : Support the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
    • Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
    • Internal Controls & Compliance : Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations.
    • Audit Preparation : Support the preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
    • Tax Support : Assist in the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax, income tax, and other regulatory requirements as needed.
    • Process Improvement : Collaborate with the team to identify areas for process improvement, making recommendations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Qualifications :

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas).
    • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
    • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

      2006

      The Bedford NH office opens and Staff Hunters begins working with more and more clients in the greater Manchester marketplace. The personalized approach, consistency and high quality control creates a distinct competitive advantage in a market where fast growth at any cost is the norm.

      2008

      Ari joins the Bedford office of Staff Hunters to focus on building a Senior-level Finance practice in Southern, NH and Northern, MA.

      2013

      Sara opens the Administrative practice in Bedford and makes an immediate impact in the scope and depth of the recruiting and placement in the office.

      2015

      The Bedford office grows and Tony makes plans to transition toward retirement. Raven Ridge is founded and acquires the Bedford location. The office expands and moves to a larger space in Bedford, NH. Payroll and billing operations move to the Bedford office. Growth and change create new business partners and new relationships; both internal and external.

      2016

      A banner year for finding great team members! Dennis joins the Technical / Engineering group, assisting in the growth of the business. Kassey joins the Administrative team offering expertise in the Administrative and Human Resources job market.

      2020

      Ashlee joins the organization to head up administrative operations in charge of payroll and billing.
