Medical Assistant Essential Functions / Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) :
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Greet and room patients, take vitals, update EMRs
- Assist doctors with in-office procedures : wart removal, nail care, diabetic shoe fittings, and minor surgeries
- Apply DME, dressings, and strappings per physician instructions
- Take digital X-rays and manage specimen collection
- Educate patients on post-care instructions and answer questions
Administrative Duties
Support prescription requests, insurance authorizations, and patient follow-upsMaintain accurate documentation in the EMREnsure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all timesClinic Operations
Prep and clean exam rooms, manage back-office suppliesSterilize instruments and maintain inventory logsAssist with opening and closing clinic proceduresMedical Assistant Required Skills and Experience :
High School Diploma or GEDCompletion of accredited MA program OR 1+ year of relevant clinical experienceFamiliarity with EMR systems and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy practicesAbility to travel between local office locations, as neededCMA or RMA preferredMedical Assistant Physical Requirements :
