• Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Performs all Sonographic exams following defined protocols.
• Observant of patients’ conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences.
• Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
• Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required.
• Understands and operates electronic information systems.Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment.
• Participates in continuing education activities to expand / enhance knowledge of sonography and meet educational requirements of ARDMS.
• Takes call after regular hours.Registered or registry eligible by RDMS or ARRT. What qualifications you will need : EXPERIENCE Preferred : 2-3 Years experience as a RT or Sonographer Preferred : 2 or more years of experience in a hospital Ultrasound Department.EDUCATION Required : ARDMS eligible. Preferred : BLS Certification PreferredRequired : ARDMS certification. Hours : Full time, mixed shifts (weekdays only)Monday-Thursday 10 : 30am-9pm with rotating call and holidaysLewisGale Medical Center has provided quality healthcare services since 1909.
