Internal Medicine Physician

Job Title : Primary Care Physician (MD / DO) Locum Tenens

Location : Southern Virginia

Practice Setting : Outpatient Primary Care with Rotating Specialties

Coverage Dates & Schedule :

Start Date : As soon as credentialed

Duration : Approximately 9 months or more

Schedule : 3 days / week 8-hour shifts

Call : None

Practice Overview :

Outpatient-only setting with no hospital or ED call responsibilities

Serving a diverse population

adult, pediatric, newborn, and geriatric patients

Average Daily Volume : 20 patients

Exam Rooms : 6

On-site services : Lab, POC testing, phlebotomy

EMR : Epic

No OB care, trauma designation, or inpatient codes required

Required Clinical Skills & Procedures :

Adult Outpatient Care :

Management of chronic and acute conditions

No ICU / CCU care involved

Pediatric Care :

General outpatient visits and newborn care

Basic Gynecology (preferred, not required) :

Pelvic exams

Pap smears

Minor Surgical Procedures :

Suturing minor lacerations

Incision & drainage (I&D)

Mental Health :

Management of uncomplicated adult behavioral health concerns

On-site BH provider available for support

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible Required

Active Virginia License Required (must already be in process to be considered)

BLS Certification Required
